Why is PDR.net only available to MDs, DOs, dentists, NPs, PAs, medical
students, and residents?
PDR.net is available free of charge for
U.S.-based MDs, DOs, dentists, optometrists, NPs, and PAs in full-time patient
practice, as well as for U.S. medical students, residents, and other select
prescribing allied health professionals through pharmaceutical company
sponsorship. Other users are invited to purchase products based on the same PDR
data:
- For your personal use, visit the PDR Bookstore to purchase the book or a CD-ROM version of
the PDR.
- For use in a corporation, hospital, or group practice, contact the
Corporate Solutions group at MICROMEDEX at 877.843.6796.
- All users are invited to visit the PDR's free patient education site, PDRhealth.com .
How does PDR.net use cookies?
A cookie is a small amount of information that
a web site copies onto your hard drive. A cookie can help a web site identify
you the next time you visit it. In order to access PDR.net, you must have the
preferences in your browser set to accept cookies.
We keep any information that you provide while registering or that we obtained
from the use of cookies strictly confidential. The information is used for
internal purposes only, helping us to improve the site for our users. For more

We also use cookies if you elect the option of not having to type your username
and password each time you log on to our site ("Remember Me"). If you
choose this option on our registration and login page, PDR.net will use a
cookie to recognize you so you will not need to log in again. You can reset

then need to type in your username and password on subsequent visits.
Please note that this cookie is specific to the machine from which you choose

How can I set my computer to accept cookies?
- Internet Explorer 6.x for the PC
Select Tools | Internet Options | Privacy. Use the bar to select Medium
setting. Click the Advanced button below the bar. Check Override automatic
cookie handling and under First-party Cookies click Accept. If you don't want
to override cookie handling uncheck Override automatic cookie handling.
- Internet Explorer 5.x for the PC
Select Tools | Internet Options | Security. Click the Custom Level button,
scroll to the Cookies section, and select Enable.
To be warned each time you visit a site utilizing cookies, select Tools |
Internet Options | Security. Click the Custom Level button, scroll to the
Cookies section, and select Prompt.
- Internet Explorer 4.x for the PC
Select View | Internet Options | Advanced and scroll down to Cookies. Set the
Always accept cookies button.
To be warned each time you visit a site that uses cookies before accepting
them, select View | Internet Options | Advanced. Scroll down to Cookies and
click on Prompt before accepting cookies.
- Internet Explorer 4.x-5.x for the Mac
Select Edit | Receiving Files | Cookies. Select Never ask.
To be warned about the presence of cookies, select Edit | Receiving Files |
Cookies and select Ask for each site or Ask for each cookie.
- Netscape 6.2 for the PC or Mac
Select Edit | Preferences | Privacy & Security and click on Cookies in the
left-hand panel. If Enable all cookies is not checked, select it, and click
OK.

I have my computer set up to accept cookies but I am still not able to
navigate through the website.

How can I set my computer to enable JavaScript?
To access our site, your computer must have
JavaScript enabled. To set your computer to enable JavaScript:
- Internet Explorer 6.x for the PC
JavaScript is automatically enabled in Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher. If
JavaScript has been manually disabled, use the procedure below to enable
it.
Select Tools | Internet Options. Click the Security tab, and in the Zone box,
select Internet. Look at the Security level for this zone setting:
If the selected security level is not Custom (for expert users), JavaScript is
already enabled. You do not need to edit your settings. Click Cancel to close
the Internet Options window. click the Custom Level button and select Enable
Scripting.
If the selected security level is Custom (for expert users), click OK to close
the Security Settings window and then click OK to close the Internet Options
window.
Click the Custom Level button. Scroll down to the Active Scripting section near
the bottom of the list. In the Active scripting area, click Enable. Click OK to
close the Security Settings window and then click OK to close the Internet
Options window.
- Internet Explorer 4.x-5.x for the PC

Select View (Version 5.x select Tools) | Internet Options. Click the Security
tab, and in the Zone box, select Internet Zone. Do not click reset. Look at the

the Internet Options window. click the Custom Level button and select Enable
Scripting.

Click the Settings button. Scroll down to the Active Scripting section at the
bottom of the list. In the Active scripting area, click Enable. Click OK to
close the Security Settings window and then click OK to close the Internet
Options window.
- Internet Explorer 4.x- 5.x for the Mac>
Select Edit | Web Browser | Web Content. Scroll to Active Content and select
Enable scripting.
- Netscape 6.2 for the PC or Mac
Select Edit | Preferences | Advanced. Select all radio buttons and click OK to
accept.
- Netscape 4.x-6.1 for the PC or Mac
Select Edit | Preferences | Advanced and click on Enable JavaScript.
